Visionary Instruments luthier Ben Lewry crafts high-end guitars that incorporate video displays into their bodies. His latest creation, the Retro TV guitar, uses actual parts from a vintage television set and incorporates them into a solid body instrument. The guitar uses piezo pickups fixed atop the screen, and actual TV knobs are used for tone and volume- as well as for changing the channels and the actual video footage displayed on the guitar.

The body takes its inspiration from Bo Diddley’s famed rectangular guitar, while the fretboard features fiber optic markers, and the headstock has Gotoh tuners and an illuminated logo.
